Lynda here , sorry to take so long to reply , i'm an older mom and my son is my only child he is 11, i'am soon to be 52, as for how i cope with rasing my son by myself , i work full time out side of my home and i get food stamps which helps with the cost of food ,and i have medicaid for my son because he has no insurance my job only insure's the employee and his Dad got himself fired from his job so he's not coverded from him ither but that's o.k. thanks to medicaid we are fine we cant be on it for ever tho' and we get no child suport but i take care of my sons needs on my own , child suport will come when his Dad gets a another job again at least your lucky yours are grown even tho' sometimes i wish my son were grown i dont really look forward to an emty nest , life is hard but i grow stronger with time , i hope life is going good for you ! my name is Lynda age 51, i have only one child he is 11, soon to be 12, and i'am soon to be 52, iwas married for over 11, years and it has been not a marridge ment to be my son is the best to become of it ,my son and i , went through many years of verbal and mental abuse from my ex, so i have no problem being away from him even tho' he still comes around as he is my childs father but i dont have to put up with him any more , i'm sure tho' that your situation is different if youed like a friend please responde back to me . Hi Julia, my name is Lynda i live in Layton, Utah, mother of one child whome i'am rasing on my own as i left his Dad almost 2 years ago and life has been way better and will improve even more after a divorce thers no going back , i lost my Dad too in 1995, then i lost my kid sister in 2006 to cancer when i lost her i felt like i lost apart of myself we were very close , this is my first time to reply to someone in this group and i hope to hear back from you please dont leave the group we need you , i love to do email when i can i work outside of my home at this time so i normaly get on the net on the weekends during the week is busy.
