Going for looooong walks! (with music). Playing with little children, watching uplifting movies(Jerry maguire, finding nemo, its a wonderful life) watching funny movies, reading, (esp positive inspirational material the chicken soup series),
What does'nt help is constantly moaning about it to a friend, thinking constantly about it, not moving enough.

Hi Clare,

Ty so much for sharing about how you deal with stress - I love the fire twirling suggestion!

Would be very interested in hearing from others on the same topic, esp fun things like those you have suggested.

Have found crosswords, reading music and playing guitar, sudoko, reciting psalms (in my head) and scripture and singing songs of faith usually work for me.

Regards

Jo

Hi,

Just reading some posts and that and I want to share some things I do for peace and tranquilty and stress relief.

One is cascade juggling, It actually helps relax the mind and while you are doing that you are not thinking of anything bad or sad at all. It can be really enjoyable to learn and lots of fun.

Another one is fire twirling, they have things online with how to make your own things. can be great fun to learn and also a great social thing as well..

Free writting and making sure you just sit there until you have nothing left to write helps get alot of things out and in perpective.

Listening to music if you are able to can be hard for me if I am feeling really really crappy.

Anyway just wanted to share hope everyone has a great weekend.

Clare
