Re: [mylifeismine] A Donkey's Tale

Perhaps the key  to our personal happiness can be attributed to the way we treat each other. If we always treat each other with dignity and respect then there would be much less unhappiness and a lot more peace and harmony in our lives

Thats how I see it.

Thanks group

Hi All,

I don't usually forward fables - but this one is
beautiful!

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well.
The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer
tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided
the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered
up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the
donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help
him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel
dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what
was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's
amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked
down the well. He was astonished at what he saw.
With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the
donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it
off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt
on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a
step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the
donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and
happily trotted off!

MORAL: Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds
of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to
shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles
is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest
wells just by not stopping, never giving up!
Shake it off and take a step up.

Perry

Re: [mylifeismine] Re: Please Welcome & Advice

Hi Grace,
I understand your stress/feelings at this tough time of life. Hopefully, it will change into a happy and delightful part of life soon. As you know, there are different stages of life like during sunny day different sizes and directions of the shadow depend upon the objects. Please doesn't worry much just do the right things, which gave real internal pleasure. Forgiveness to others and behave wonderfully are also good tools. Spending some time in a fresh air of beautiful gardens, near oceans, talking with happy people and thinking creatively and positively about beautiful creations such as flowers, sky decorated with twinkling stars, sun and moon are also fruitful options. If you have free time, let me know, I can send such files of Microsoft power point presentation to share with you.

Regards,

Moje

Hi Everyone,

I'm a new member who decided to join in my search for groups who I
could share ways of dealing with life and finding answers to
questions.
I guess what brought about this is due to recent events in my life
where I feel a bit "lost". I've been living in Sydney for 5 years,
had sisters who i could rely on and pretty much helped me settle in.
However, we have drifted apart due to misunderstandings and now feel
like I'm on my own. I've just experienced the "darkest" moments in my
life as family issues are "eating me alive". Although, I know i need
to go through this to become stronger, i sometimes feel pain.
I've also been in a relationship with someone who made me really
happy but he is now gone too.
Enough about me. I'll read on prevous posts so I could catch up with
topics.

Thanks All...

Grace
