Any idea why she's decided to take control of your life?
There is a good reason you were best friends once.
Is this her way of showing she cares and she doesn't know how to make you see the world as she sees it?
I have a cousin who is very pushy but this is because she cares, otherwise she wouldn't bother.

"Life isn't meant to be easy", it's meant to be interesting. If you believe the first half by itself you are asking to have a hard life, and life isn't 'hard' but it is interesting.
Beware the way you think might force limits on you that you might not otherwsie want.
Another example is "we're here for a good time, not a long time" - believe this only if you want a short life.
Personally I'm here for a long time and I'm going to enjoy all of it! (its a work-in-progress (lol)).
For more info learning more on making relationships successful, read John Gray's book (Mars and Venus series). See what your library has of these.

Simple answer: NO, friends respect your choice to make your own decisions - they would be better off investing the time and energy into their own lives. Here's a little something that might help: whenever someone is pointing a finger at you, they have 3 fingers pointing back at themselves (point your finger to test). What this meas is: if we see something we need to fix in someone else, often it is a sign of something we need to pay attention to in ourselves.
