[mylifeismine] Focus on Others to Feel Better Yourself - 5 Kindness Motivation Tips

Many times we can be guilty of focusing mostly on our troubles and worries. It can become an effort to do the everyday things like washing dishes, mowing the lawn, feeding the kids a decent meal. Is there a way to overcome these feelings that keep us down and unwilling to do the things we need to do? Is there a way to get back on track emotionally and make a difference at the same time?

What you have referred to here is explored by Lev Vygtosky in his concept of the 'Zone of Proximinal Development' - it is only when we reach this point of discomfort that true learning can/does commence,

Worth having a read of his work if you have the interest.

I think it is harder to change something that exists is more
difficult than changing and starting something new...The most
difficult thing about any change is recognizing it is needed and
taking the first step towards that change...
